Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Blooming Grove for Solomon Armstrong, 83, who died at 2 p.m. Friday at Memorial Hospital.
The Rev. W.A. Corley and the Rev. Leroy Reaves will officiate with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Bradley Funeral Home.
Survivors include six sons, Garth Armstrong of Lubbock, John W. Armstrong of San Antonio, Bruce Armstrong, Jack Armstrong, and Jimmy Armstrong all of Blooming Grove, and Jean Armstrong of Duncanville; a daughter, Mrs. Frances Hatley of Blooming Grove; a sister, Myrtle Stokes of Corsicana; 28 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
