Geraldine B. Emmons age 77 of Fostoria passed away on Friday May 9, 2008 at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria. She was born on September 2, 1931 in Hatton, OH to the late Jacob William and Lena L. (Ireland) Hunt. She married Carl Emmons on January 25, 1953 in Fostoria and he survives. Also surviving are her children, Elwood L. Emmons, Findlay, Rebecca S. (Mark) Cooper, Fostoria, Cynthia J. Martinez, Port Charlotte, Fla., Pamela K. (Frank) Sebastian, Palmetto, Fla and Anita J. Sanchez, Fostoria, 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, 1 brother Jacob Hunt, TX and two sisters Kathleen Whittacre and Marilynn Hunt, Hatton, OH along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Kathy Lynn Emmons and sisters Josephine Couch and Bondale Harmon. Geraldine enjoyed collecting Lighthouses, playing the piano and organ and attended Fostoria Church of God which she loved very much. She was a great mom and always thought of others first. Visitation will be on Tuesday May 13, 2008 from 11-1 PM at HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria with funeral services taking place at 1 PM with Rev. Donald Goodwin presiding. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Memorials are suggested in Geraldine's memory c/o Hoening Funeral Home.
