Robert "Bob" Allen Ashba, 71, husband of Candace "Candy" Clark Ashba, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Lake Marion Nursing Facility.
Born on June 27, 1952, in Morehead City, NC, he was the son of Helen Louis Griffin Ashba and the late Robert Leon Ashba. He graduated from North Greenville College where he was a member of Joyful Sound Singers from 1978 - 1981. He then attended and graduated from the Baptist College of Charleston. Upon graduating from BCC, he furthered his education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. He started his ministry as a youth pastor in Greer at El Bethel Baptist Church. Since that time, he has served in several churches in South Carolina and North Carolina, as minister of youth and music. Before Bob retired, he served as the Associate Pastor of Summerton Baptist Church from 2003-2020.
He is survived by his wife of Summerton; mother of Williston; a son, Robert Seth Ashba (MacKenzie) of Columbia; a daughter, Hannah Nicole Ashba of Summerton; special niece, Autumnstar Gray of Summerton; his sisters, Annette Sweat, Joanna Ashba, Donna Kay Mole (Don), all of Williston, and Tammy Crim (Barry) of Swansea; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, James "Bo" Ashba.
Burial at Summerton Baptist Church Cemetery.
