Obituary:
A Memorial Service for James Andrew "Bo" Ashba, 69, of Williston, SC will be held at three p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Friendship Baptist Church with Reverends Marshall Still and Jim Parnell officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Bo passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Born in Virginia, he was a son of Helen Griffin Ashba and the late Robert Ashba. He was a member of Winfield Heights Baptist Church. Bo worked at Advance Auto Parts, Carquest Auto Parts, and Mike's Auto Re-pair; he retired from B&B Ford in Barnwell. He was a volunteer fireman with the Barnwell and Williston Fire Departments.
In addition to his mother, Helen Ashba, survivors include his daughters, Ellie (Jeremy) Fail of Blackville, SC and Maggie Ashba of Barnwell, SC; sisters, Annette Ashba, Joanna Ashba and Donna (Don) Mole all of Williston, SC, and Tammy (Barry) Crim of Swansea, SC; a brother, Bobby (Candy) Ashba of Summerton, SC; mother of his children, Regina Still Ashba; former father and mother-in-law, Reverend Marshall and Ima Jean Still; former brother and sisters-in-law, Ami (Mark) Still and Amanda (Brian) Bridgmon and a number of nieces and nephews.
