Jessie, daughter of Sherman and Lillie Accord, was born December 20, 1889, and died of typhoid fever, August 13, 1894, age 4 years 7 months and 24 days. She was sick 21 days. Jessie leaves her twin sister, two brothers and a younger sister, with her parents, to await the coming of the last blessed Saviour to take them up to His happy home on high, for they have a good hope of the resurrection and eternal life. The funeral was conducted by Rev. C.P. Brewer from the family residence near Grand View school house. The test, "My lambs" was taken from the Master's charge to Peter concerning the little ones (Grayson Co., Virginia [St. John 21, 15]. After which the little body was laid away to rest until called further to life and immortality beyond the grave.
