The deceased, whose maiden name was Miss Maggie Griffin, was born on May 9, 1886, making her age 29 years and 15 days. She was the daughter of J M Griffin, of Windburne. Much of her earlier life was spent at Peale. Her marriage to Mr Black occurred after the family had moved to Windburne.
Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her death a child, her father, J M Griffin, and one brother, Joseph, of Windburne.
The body was conveyed to Windburne on Saturday evening, and viewed on Sabbath by a large circle of friends. The deceased was a lady whose many pleasing qualities endeared her to all who knew her.
The funeral will take place tomorrow, with interment in the Drifting Catholic cemetery, Rev E J Fisher officiating.
