Mr. Jackson was a 1952 graduate of West Lincoln High School and attended and graduated from Whitworth GI Business School. He served in the Korean War Conflict in 1954-55. A Lincoln County native, Mr. Jackson was an avid fisherman and loved to travel. He was employed for 18 years in non-food sales with the Lewis Grocer Co. (Sunflower Food Stores). He then owned and operated Brookhaven Super Value for 12 years. He retired in 2001 from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department. He was a member and trustee of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a member of Billy Powell Smith Sunday School Class for over 50 years. He was a member of Woodmen of the World Lodges 04 of Natchez and 09 of Brookhaven.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and his brothers, Lenox Jackson, of McComb, Johnny Jackson, of Vicksburg, and James L. Jackson, of Brookhaven.
