BROOKHAVEN - Services for Mrs. Bessie Lofton Jackson, 86, who died May 15 in Haven Hall nursing home in Brookhaven, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ramah Baptist Church in Franklin County.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation begins today at 11 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home and will be held Tuesday until the time of the service.
Mrs. Jackson previously was a resident of McComb for eight years. She moved to Brookhaven recently, where she was a member of Brookway Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucious Jackson, and one son, Lenox Jackson of McComb.
Survivors include four sons, James L. Jackson, C.L. Jackson and Carey P. Jackson, all of Brookhaven and Johnny P. Jackson of Vicksburg; one daughter, Mrs. Onetta Jackson Greer, Ft. Worth, Texas; five daughters-in-law, Louis, Wisie, Hulene, Lena Faye and Jonnie Jackson; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren; one son-in-law, Frank Greer; two sisters, Mrs. Hubie Nettles of Natchez and Mrs. Bill Herring of Natchez; two brothers, Clint Lofton and Clyde Lofton, both of Brookhaven; and many nieces and nephews.
