Mother, Elizabeth Williams, (?)
Mary married Charles Thompson on November 25, 1809 in Washington Co, KY. After Mary died, Charles moved to Spencer Co, IN and married Alcey Shoemaker on March 15, 1822. Charles ddied on July 19, 1845 at Gentryville, Spencer Co, IN and is most likely buried somewhere in Spencer Co, IN.
There is a Mary Thompson listed on the 1870 Marion Co, KY census living in Loretto. This appears to be the Mary that I show as having died in 1821 but that would indicate that Charles who left KY and remarried in 1822 would have left Mary before 1822. There are so many Mary Thomspon's in that part of KY, it is hard to say if the Mary Thompson living with the Buckler's is actually Mary Alvey. This Mary Alvey Thompson is shown as having beeen born in KY while Mary Alvey who married Charles Thompson was born in St Mary's Co, MD. Her family did not arrive in KY until 1805/6 following the death of her grandfather Jesse Alvey in 1803. This goes back to my concerns that the Mary Thompson shown by Gerald Thompson as Mary Alvey is possible the wrong Mary and not an Alvey at all and Mary Alvey Thompson is buried elsewhere.
