Donald W. Culbertson, 71, of Easton, Kan., died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at University of Kansas Hospital. He was born February 16, 1936, in Leavenworth, the son of Edward and Lola (Toothacker) Culbertson.

On February 18, 1956, he married Wanda Tully in Leavenworth, she survives at the home. He is also survived by his children, Rob (Donna) Culbertson of Easton, Donald J (Nancy) Culbertson of Easton, John (Mary) Culbertson of Holt, Fla., Randy Culbertson of Easton and Lorie (Joe) Marschie of Valley Falls, Kan; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a brother, Lawrence (Alice) Culbertson.

Don was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tonya Culbertson; a brother, Lewis Culbertson; and a sister, Juanita Robertson.

After graduating from Winchester High School, Don worked most of his adult life as a carpenter. He was co-owner of Chmidling & Culbertson Construction Company, building homes and installing concrete foundations in the Leavenworth area.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, July 26, 2007, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Friday at St. Joseph of the Valley Catholic Church with Rev. John Ayang, SOLT as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Easton Cemetery
