Lawrence was born September 1, 1933 in Leavenworth County the son of Edwin and Lola Culbertson.
On October 15, 1951 he married Alice M. Adams. She survives him.
He is also survived by daughter Lynn Poff (Dale) and son Larry E. Culbertson (Christine), grandson Bobby Poff and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and two grandsons Larry E. Culbertson, Jr. and Chadwick E. Culbertson.
He was a member of the Easton United Methodist Church.
He served in the Army from 1951 to 1954 in Korea as a Tank Commander.
He retired from the U. S. Federal Penitentiary in 1969.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, December 11, 2011, at the Davis Funeral Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 12, 2011 at the Easton United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at the Easton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Easton United Methodist Church or the Easton Cemetery.
