She was born May 10, 1932 at Liverpool, Perry County, to the late John Adam and Lilly Viola (Casey) Goodling.
She was educated at Barner's Grammar School, Liverpool RR 1; a Protestant; a member of Dauntless Hook and Ladder Fire Company Ambulance League, Selinsgrove; and enjoyed watching television.
She was the widow of Marshall Edward "Bummy" Hile, who died March 23, 1991.
Surviving are four sons, James L. of Liverpool, Charles E. of McAlisterville RR 2, Roger L. Sr. of Townsend, Del., and Lonnie E. Sr. of Liverpool RR 1; a daughter, Sheila J. Foltz of Mt. Pleasant Mills RR 2; three brothers, Woodrow Goodling of Millerstown RR 2, Kenneth Goodling of Mt. Pleasant Mills RR 1 and Lyle Goodling of Salem, N.C.; a sister, Florence Kerstetter of Mt. Pleasant Mills RR 2; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Belinda A. Hile, who died in 1951; five brothers, John Wesley, Henry, Ray, Earl and Charles B. Goodling; and a sister, Maggie Shope.
Services were held March 24 in Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills, with the Rev. Daryl M. Kuhns officiating. Burial was in Paradise Cemetery, Port Trevorton RR 1.
