Lyle E. "Yank" Goodling, Sr., age 68, of Selma died on Sunday in Liberty Commons Nursing Home. He was born in Pennsylvania on August 12, 1940 to the late John and Lillian Casey Goodling and was the husband of the late Etta Frances Taylor Goodling who died in 1991.A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Selma Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Martha Peedin officiating.Surviving are: two sons, Lyle E. Goodling, Jr. of Goldsboro and John Goodling and wife Donna of Selma; one brother, Kenny Goodling of Pennsylvania; one sister, Florence Kerstetter of Pennsylvania, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
