William Andrew "Andy" Springer was the son of, Reverend James Dobbins Springer & Nancy Elizabeth Morris. He was born in Lawrence County, Missouri, November 20, 1866, and lived in that area until sometime around 1890, when he moved to Cooke County, Texas, where he resided in justice precinct #2. He was a farmer. Isaac N. Morris, his Mother's brother, also lived in the same county. Around 1893, Andy Springer married Martha Alice Ragsdale. According to the census records, Andy & Alice were parents of four children. Only three names are known: Frank E., born September, 1896, and died prior to 1910, William J. "Willie" born January, 1900, and also died before 1910, and Everett Lee "Pat" born, July 22, 1904 and died, March 5, 1967, Corsicana, Texas. Andy Springer died in Cooke County, Texas, August 18, 1935.
