Mrs. Pairlee Reed, 72, died October 17 in a Norton Hospital after a long illness.
She was a resident of Stonega, VA, where she had lived for over 35 years.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph Andy Reed; four sons, Steve, Jay, Abe all of Stonega, and Ray of Baltimore, MD; six daughters, Mrs. J. O. Disney of Appalachia, Mrs. Edna Grubb of Roda, VA, Mrs. Rosa May Wilson of Wise, VA, Mrs. Eugene Smith and Mrs. Lona Owsley, both of Roda, Mrs. Adeline Fannon of Stonega; four brothers, Canner Sizemore of Stonega, Ed and Esley Sizemore both of Big Stone Gap, VA and Will Sizemore of Shell Creek, TN, two sisters Mrs. Grace Alston of Detroit, MI and Mrs. Lucy Pleasant of Big Stone Gap, 33 grandchildren and four great-grandchldren.
Funeral services were held at the Stonega Baptist Church with the Reverends Glean Welch and Harry Fannon officiating.
Burial followed in the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
