She was born in Laurens County and was a daughter of the late Oscar and Orie Thrift Lewis and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Boyter is survived by her husband, Bluford A. Boyter of the home; two sons, Jake A. Boyter, Jr. and Jerry Simmons, both of Laurens; four daughters, Bertie Mims, Barbara McJunkin, Alice Lawson and Debra Kellett, all of Laurens; one brother, Larry Lewis of Whitmire; one sister, Elsie Bell of San Antonio, TX.; 21 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Romines.
