Stanley died suddenly on Monday at Akron City Hospital.

He was the son of John Lawrence and Harriet Holmes Moorhead Hillard.


He was born in Sewickley Pa and had lived in Suffield Twp. for 25 years.

Mr. Hillard owned and operated his barbershop east of Mogodore, retiring

in 1975. He was formerly of Riggs Barber Shop and at one time was employed

for Shell Oil.

Mr. Hillard was a graduate of Riggs-Lamar Barber College.


A WWII Veteran, serving in the Armored Tank Div, and in the South Pacific 1942-1946,

he was a member of Akron Masonic Lodge 83 F&AM,Mogodore Moose 1082, and VFW

Mogodore Post 8487.


Stanley is survived by his wife, Luella F. Anderson Hillard; a daughter, Miss Jean M., at home;

brothers David D., Altoona Pa, James of Robinson IL, John of Karns City Pa; sisters Alice

Sausaman, Ruth Spangler, Lenora Foster, all of Randolph OH; Rose Cavness and Harriet

Sausaman, both of Phoenix AZ.


Friends may call at the Hopkins Mogodore Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Ave.,

until the time of services, with the Rev. James F. Wiebrecht officiating.


Burial at Hillside Memorial Park.
