MRS. AHRENDT DIES SUDDENLY
Mrs. Fred Ahrendt, a resident of Baillytown all her life, died suddenly Sunday morning March 7, 1937, about 7:15 o'clock from a heart attack at her home in Baillytown. She was 63 years, 7 months, and 12 days old.
Mrs. Ahrendt had been in apparent good healthe and her death is a great shock to her family and friends.
Anna Sofia Johnson was born on the Mineral Springs farm in what is now the town of Porter on July 25, 1873, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Nels Johnson. She attended school and spent her entire life in this vicinity.
On Sept 20, 1902, at the Augsburg Lutheran church, she was united in marriage to Fred Ahrendt, who survives with their fours sons; William of Chicago, Valdemar and Louis, at home, and Edgar of Baillytown. There also are two brothers; Louis and August Johnson of Baillytown. A brother, William Johnson, passed away Feb. 19 of the year and a sister years ago.
Mrs. Ahrendt was a faithful member of Augsburg church where she was baptized on Aug 1, 1873, and confirmed on April 1, 1888. She was a member of the Ladies' Aid society of the church.
Services are being held at Flynn chapel and from the Augsburg church with Rev. Paul V. Nelson officiating. Rev & Mrs. Nelson and Dorothy Borg will sing. Burial in Burstrom cemetery, adjacent to her latehome. Pallbearers are Victor Charlson, Victor Nelson, Carl Danielson, Frank Peterson, Gust Johnson & Emil Borg.
