In 1920, Ella Overington, aged 58, was living on Sterling Place, Brooklyn, New York, with her husband, Thomas Overington, aged 67, a heating contractor, and son, Charles Overington, aged 33.
June 8, 1923 - "Mrs. Ella Overington, of Plainfleld , N. J., is making her home, since the death of her husband, with her daughter, Mrs. William Neumeyer, at 16 Beverley Avenue, Hempstead."
In 1930, Ella Overington, aged 63, was living at 80 Elizabeth Avenue, Hempstead, New York, in the home of her son-in-law, William Neumeyer, aged 45, sales manager for a bakery, and daughter, Eleanor Neumeyer, aged 45, and grandson, William E. Neumeyer, aged 14.
