Adele Doris Smith, 93, died Sept. 9, 1995, at the Anchorage Pioneers Home. A graveside service was at Angelus Memorial Park. The Rev. Pat Hadley of the Church on Raspberry Road officiated. Pallbearers were Basil O'Neill, Rod O'Neill, Gary Boyd and Gerald Kintz.

Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 28, 1901, in Santa Cruz, Calif., and had been a resident of Alaska since 1903. During her time here she had lived in Katalla, Cordova, Kodiak and, since 1942, in Anchorage. She had been a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, plants, birds and reading. The family said, ''She was a dependable, loving person who was always there.''

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughters, Janet O'Neill and Hazel Davidson of Anchorage; sons, William of Dillingham and John of Medford, Ore.; brother, Jack deVille of Cordova; 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 101459, Anchorage, 99510-1459. Arrangements were by Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary & Crematory.
