Daughter of Harold & Mabel (Keyser) Day.
Grew up in Miller, graduated from Miller High School; graduated with a bachelor's degree in teaching from Kearney State College, 1972.
Taught at rural schools in the Miller area.
Married: July 5, 1944, to Glen Stevens in Smith Center, Kan. He died in 2005.
Lived in Miller, and raised her family; moved to Litchfield in 1964, taught country schools in the Litchfield area; moved to Miller in 1970, taught school in the area; retired in 1983.
Activities: member of Grandview Church northeast of Miller, H.O.A. Club in Miller, Miller Senior Citizens and American Legion Auxiliary Post 351 in Miller; enjoyed quilting, crocheting and spending time with family.
Survivors include her sons, Glen of Cozad, Gene of Diboll, Texas, and LeRoy of Lisco; daughters, Sharon Hill of Cozad, Donna Williams of Chapman and Helen of Overton; brother, Harold Day of Miller; sisters, Shirley McCullough of Broken Bow, Susan Underhill of Riverdale and Sara Graham of Miller; 15 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren; also daughters-in-law, Joanne Stevens of Cozad, Di Stevens of Diboll and Peggy Stevens of Lisco; and sons-in-law, Dennis Hill of Cozad and Raymond Williams of Chapman.
Was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Joseph in 1995; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and one brother.
