Melba Ruth (Creech) Badeaux Webb, age 77, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Sunday, March 30, 2008, at St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs. She was born July 13, 1930, in Columbia County, AR., the daughter of the late Luther Alfred & Ruth Acuff Creech. Melba was a homemaker & a charter member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Gurdon, and played the piano at the church for many years. She was a past member of WMU at Beech Street Baptist Church of Gurdon. Melba was preceded in death by her first husband T.A. Badeaux in 1961 & her second husband Eugene Webb in 1994, two sons, Dennie & David Badeaux, two sisters, Peggy Howell & Margie Hughes.
Survivors are three sons; Douglas Badeaux of Kennewick, WA., Don Badeaux of Lavaca, AR. & Daniel Badeaux of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Five daughters; Ann Baumgardner of Gurdon, Teresa Higginbotham of Arkadelphia, Judy Lowrance of Cedarville, Sarah Dickey of Gurdon & Faye Scott of Norman. One sister; Becky Cogbill of Hope. 19 grandchildren, 22 step grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 46 step great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Revs. Lloyd Baumgardner, Maurice Dickey, Doug Higginbotham & T.R. Lowrance officiating. Interment will be in Bluff City Cemetery under the direction of Welch Funeral Home.
