Clydelle Jacob Schroeder, 93, of Yorktown, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, in Yorktown.

She was born March 21, 1930, in Yorktown to the late Robert and Clydelle Lantrip Jacob. She married Arlon C. "Shrimp" Schroeder on Dec. 26, 1954, in San Antonio, Texas.

           She ran a private Kindergarten where she served as teacher for several years before her marriage. Clydelle and her late husband, Shrimp, then owned and operated the Dairy Bar for many decades in Yorktown. 

She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Yorktown, serving as a choir member, Sunday School and Bible School teacher, and as a member of the Women of the Church. She served as a Girl Scout Troop leader in Yorktown. She was also a member of William P. Rogers chapter 44 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Clydelle is survived by a son, Stuart L. Schroeder, wife Mary, of The Woodlands; daughter Arlene Schroeder of Yorktown; daughter Norma Schroeder Schendel, husband Robert, of Yorktown; grandchildren Cody Schendel, wife Adrienne; Claire Schendel Carpenter, husband Shelton; Caleb Schendel; J. Daniel Schroeder; S. Michael Schroeder; and great-grandchildren Emmett Schendel; Hazel Schendel; Elliot Carpenter; and Abbie Carpenter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Clydelle Lantrip Jacob and husband Arlon C. "Shrimp" Schroeder.

Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Massey Funeral Home in Yorktown. Services will follow at 3:00 p.m., also at Massey Funeral Home. Burial will be at Westside Cemetery. A reception will follow at the First Presbyterian Fellowship Hall. 

Pallbearers will be Cody Schendel, Caleb Schendel, Daniel Schroeder, Michael Schroeder, Shelton Carpenter, Gary Clark and Bobby Strieber.
