NELLIE STEWART DIED AT GOOD SHEPHERD FRIDAY
Nellie Elizabeth Stewart, a resident of the Good Shepherd Home, died at the Home Friday, February 22nd.
Mrs. Stewart was born at Mondamin, Iowa but had lived in the Blair and Kennard areas for many years. She was the widow of the late Jay Stewart whom she married December 14, 1916 at Blair. The couple spent their more active years engaged in farming. She was 78 years old, having been born January 8, 1896.
She is survived by three sons and three daughters.
The sons are Joe Stewart of Kennard; George Stewart of Blair; and Bruce Stewart of Bloomington, Ill.
The daughters are Mrs. Neal Andreasen (Audrey) of Blair; Mrs. Lloyd McCann (Jean) of Omaha; Mrs. Vernon Christiansen (Betty) of Kennard.
A brother, Chester Wilderson, resides in California. There are three sisters, Mrs. George Jackson of Blair; Mrs. Marie Teeters of Omaha; and Mrs. Herbert Jones of Bennington.
Funeral services were held at the Grace Methodist Church at Kennard Sunday afternoon, February 24th. The Rev. John Fritzmeier conducted the service. Burial was made in the Kennard Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.
