Martha Jean Armstrong, age 69, died Friday, February 1, 2008 at an Oklahoma City hospital after an extended illness. She was born May 1, 1938 in Counce, TN to Owen and Emma (Fields) Pyron. She grew up in Counce. She had been a resident of Mustang for the last forty years where she was an active member of Chisholm Heights Baptist Church. Martha had a Masters Degree from UCO and taught 18 years in the Mustang School System, seven years as special education teacher at Mustang Elementary and eleven years as first grade teacher at Lakehoma Elementary. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Gwen Easley and a niece Nannette Haney. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Billy, one daughter Pam Tipps and one son Willie and wife Jacky all of Mustang, two granddaughters Rachel Seals and husband Brandon of OKC, Sarah Johnson and husband Bryan of Yukon, one grandson Adam Klein of Mustang and two great granddaughters Adalynn Klein of Mustang and Emma Johnson of Yukon. Also by one brother Paul Pyron of Lubbock, TX, three sisters Mary Lambert and husband Herman of Savannah, TN, Fay Jamerson and husband Wayne of Troy, TN, Linda Wilkerson and husband J.D.of Adamsville, TN, one brother in law Gary Armstrong and wife Eva of Atoka and one sister in law Pat Armstrong Sapp and husband Darrell of OKC. Nieces and nephews including Geary Lambert, Savannah, TN, Nancy Lambert DeFoor and husband Scottie of Haleyville, AL, Russ Prather of Tennessee, Tabitha Haney of Troy, TN, Tim Surratt and wife Wendy of Stantonville, TN, Melanie Surratt of Stantonville, TN, Kristie Surratt Smalley and husband Jon of Glen Ellyn, IL, Roselynn Easley Wolverton and husband Calvin of Trussville, AL, Regina Easley Young and husband Doyle of Waco, TX, Scarlet Sapp Swails, of Yukon, Darrell Gene Sapp and wife Leslie of Tuttle, Gary Wayne Armstrong and wife Lori of Atoka, Jeff Armstrong of Atoka and Neal Armstrong and wife Ann of Denton, TX. She is also survived by many extended family and friends and many other's lives that she touched. Services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Chisholm Heights Baptist Church, Mustang, OK with interment following in Mustang Cemetery under the direction of McNeil's Mustang
