COLORADO CITY - Joe C. Northcutt, 89, of Colorado City, died at 11:50 a.m. Sunday at the Root Valley Fair Lodge in Colorado City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Today in the Kiker-Seale Chapel.

The Rev. Fred Smith will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Wayne Oglesby. Burial will be in Spade Cemetery. Born April 15, 1887, in Erath County, Mr. Northcutt married Alice Rebecca Browne, in 1906, in Mitchell County. She died in 1918. He then married Pansy Hines, May 24, 1926, in Colorado City. He was a retired stock farmer.

Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mamie Hargrove of Colorado City; three sons, Needham Northcutt of Okadale, Calif. J.E. Northcutt of Colorado City and Abbie Northcutt of Colorado City; a sister, Mrs. Lee Edwards of Lindsay, Okla.; and a brother, Lee Northcut of DeLeon; 11 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren.
