Martha Lucretia Hofheins Barton age 82, passed away on October 2, 2006 in Beaver, Utah. She was born on April 11, 1924 in Beaver, Utah to John Michael Hofheins and Martha Jane Morgan. She married Scott Barton on December 23, 1943 in the St. George Temple. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Ora and Irel Hofheins
Martha completed high school in Beaver, Utah. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was also an active member of the LDS Church. She had been a stake missionary, a primary teacher, a cub scout leader and a visiting teacher. She also did temple work, and worked in the genealogical library. Martha also had a hand in helping raise and teach all of her grandchildren.

Martha is survived by four of her five children Carolyn (Ed) Zenor of Cedar City, Utah; Pamela (Lee) Adams of Paragonah, Utah; Steven (Debbie) Barton of Paragonah, Utah; Lyle (Ronnie) Barton of Paragonah, Utah; and Val (deceased)(Florene) of Paragonah, Utah. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday October 5, 2006 at the Paragonah LDS Ward Chapel. Visitations will be held on Wednesday October 4, 2006 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and also on Thursday October 5, 2006 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be held in the Paragonah Cemetery.
