Virginia Lee Ober, 74, of Albion, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 11:47 AM at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born in Albion on July 27, 1933, she was the daughter of Dennis and Velma (Webber) Scheurich. She was a lifetime resident of Albion, and was a homemaker that also helped run the family farm. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a 1951 graduate of Albion High School, and enjoyed family, gardening, flowers and reading.
On December 11, 1954 at E.U.B. Church in Albion she married Robert Ober, he survives in Albion. Also, surviving are a daughter and son-n-law, Melinda and Jack Conrad of Albion, grandchildren, Melissa Smith of Fort Wayne, and Lance Conrad of Albion. A brother, Don Scheurich of Kendallville. Brother-n-laws Jerry (Margaret) Ober of Kendallville, Lee (Roberta) Ober of Albion, and Larry (Judy) Ober of Albion. Sister-n-law, Kathy (John) Whittkamper of Knightstown, Indiana.
She is preceeded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann Ober, a grandson, Chad Conrad, her parents, and a brother, Bobby Scheurich.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM at Brazzell Funeral Home, Albion Chapel with the Rev. Larry R. Williams officiating. Calling will be from 2-4 and 6-8 on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Ober will be John Whittkamper, Lance Conrad, Jack Conrad, Mark, Mike and Larry Ober. Burial will take place at Merriam Christian Chapel Cemetery in Merriam. Please make your donations to the organization of your choice
