EDEN - Mabel Barnard Rodgers, 87, formerly of 731 Miles St. died Sunday morning, Oct. 10, 1999, at the Brian Center Nursing Home, Eden.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Danview Cemetery.

Born in Meadows of Dan, Va., she was a member of Eden Baptist Church and retired after a long service with Fieldcrest Mills.

Survivors are daughters and sons-in-law, Betty & Ronnie Joyce, Linda & Mike Harold; son-in-law, Carl Grogan, all of Eden; brothers, J.O. Barnard of Meadows of Dan, Va., Frank Barnard of Maiden; sisters, Evelyn Spangler of Critz, Va., Lelia Hamilton of Meadows of Dan, Va, Rosie Cox of Hillard, Fla.; grandchildren, Vicky Carter, Mathew Joyce, Les Harold, Michael Harold; great-grandchildren, Johnathan Carter, Michele Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her daughter, Edith Grogan.
