Earl "Foxy" Lee, was born to parents; Robert E. and Gertutude "Ellis" Lee in Sallisaw, Ok Oct. 31, 1928. He departed this life on June 10, 2002. Services will held at 11 a.m. at the Reed-Culver Funeral Home with Chaplain Bill Crow officiating. Interment will follow at the Bunch Cemetery with Rev, Randall Johnson officiating and military honors presented by the U.S. Army.
"Foxy" grew up near Bunch, attending school at Cave Springs. He worked for his dad on the family farm and then joined the U.S. Army.
Following his discharge from the service, he met Ruby Jean Tom. They were married Dec. 4. 1946.
He was a brick mason and later began working for the Sequoyah Training School and the Cherkoee Nation. He retired around 1987.
He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceeded in death by his parents; and brothers Jug, George, Ray and Jack.
He is survived by his wife Ruby, of the home in Okay; daughters and their spouses, Mary C. Johnson Ross and husband Ed, of Briggs, Earlean Duncan and husband Stan, of Checotah, and Sheila Anderson and friend Keith Strickland of Atlanta, Ga.; sons David Wayne Lee and David Allen Lee of Porter. sisters, Alice Longley of Bunch and Patsy Carter of Haysville, Kans. Grandchildren, Bernice D. Gaylor, Levi "Dusty" Johnson, Elanna Cochran Highlander, Joseph Duncan, Brent Black, Kyle Black, Daniel Anderson, Samantha Anderson, David Allen Lee and Mickey Lee; and many great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers include David Allen Lee, Dusty Johnson, Billy Joe Latta, J.L. Lee, Randy Lee and Jackie Lee. Honorary pallbearers include Kenny McIntosh, Jim Justus, Bill Robertson, Leroy Reynolds, Kyle Black, Don Dennis, Arthur Fritts, Lee Russell and Bob Hinds.
