Rubye was the daughter of Will E. & Lou Ella Brown Foster.

Rubye "Granny" Kathryn Foster Bost, 91, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., passed away Thursday, Feb. 1.

She was born in McMinnville in 1915 and married her husband, Calvin, in 1945 when they moved to the North Georgia area where they raised their family. She was previously employed with Repro Corporation as a machine operator for more than 40 years. She was an active worker in the Church of Christ all of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Calvin Bost. Survivors include her son, Billy Bost of Lafayette, Ga.; daughters, Anne Brunetto of Daytona Beach, Fla., Marty Leffew of Winston Salem, N.C., and Ellie Barnette of Chattanooga Valley; eight grandchildren, Dan Brunetto, Cari Leffew, Abbi Leffew, Skyler Barnette, Andi Bost, Jenny Rymer, Stephanie Smith and Ella Bost; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with minister C.G. Griffith and minister Reid Perry officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Gardens Mausoleum. The family will begin receiving friends all day Sunday and prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society for Breast Awareness, 850 Fort Wood Street, Chattanooga, Tenn., 37403, (800) 227-2345, or Hospice of Chattanooga, 4355 Hwy. 58 Suite 101, 58 Commons Building, Chattanooga, Tenn., 37416, (423) 892-1533, in memory of Mrs. Bost.
