Mrs. Emma Herman Taken by Death
ELK RAPIDS -- Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Herman, 85, who died Monday morning at Meadow Brook hospital, Bellaire, following a long illness, will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Dockery-Wilhelm funeral chapel here.
Etc....burial will be made in Maple Grove cemetery, Elk Rapids.
Emma Hirt was born may 26, 1880 in Milton township. In 1898, she married John Herman of Elk Rapids and the couple settled here.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Malloy and a son, Harold Herman, both of Detroit, two grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Rose Lombard of Cleveland, Ohio; and a brother Henry Hirt of South Milton.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1951.
