AMORET, Mo. - Howard P. Wasinger, 74, former Hays resident, died Monday, March 15, 2004, in Amoret, Mo. He was born Dec. 20, 1929, in Hays to George and Agnes (Lang) Wasinger.

He was a U.S. Naval veteran of the Korean War. He was an industrial electrician.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice, of the home; two daughters, Janelle Hines and husband Troy, of Carthage, N.Y., and Dusk Harrison and husband Anthony, St. Michael, Minn.; two stepsons, Dale Cantrell and Kenneth Cantrell, both of Butler, Mo.; a brother, Don Wasinger and wife, Harriett, Hays; and two sisters, Arlene Tunnell, Topeka, and Mary Ellen Pfeifer and husband, Joe, St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Wasinger and Neal Wasinger.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in the church cemetery with graveside military honors by Hays Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
