Arlene Tunnell, 82, Topeka, passed away October 4, 2007. Arlene was born March 4, 1925 in Hays KS the daughter of George and Agnes (Lang) Wasinger.

She married Vernon Tunnell in Hays KS. He preceded her in death. Arlene was devoted to her family, and enjoyed watching her grandsons play basketball.

She is survived by her son, Jay Tunnell and his wife Cathy; daughter, Raye Ellen and her husband Stephen Acker, all of Topeka; brother, Don Wasinger and his wife, Harriet, Hays; sister, Mary Ellen and her husband, Joe Phiefer, St. Louis; grandchildren, Chintamani Kansas, Brooklyn NY, James Tunnell, Tyler Tunnell and Spenser Acker all of Topeka.

She was preceded in death by son, Phil Tunnell; daughter, Elaine Cowell; brothers, Howard Wasinger, Neil Wasinger, Tommy Wasinger.

Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 Urish Rd Topeka KS 66614. A parish rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Christ the King Catholic Church.
