Obituary

Mildred Marie Bodensteiner, 94, of Austin, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Comforcare Good Samaritan Center.

Mildred was a lifetime Austin resident, graduating from Central High School. She was married on Oct. 7, 1936 to William Bodensteiner. Mildred worked at Hormel (before staying home to raise a family). She will be remembered for her generous spirit, quick wit and spunk. The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Comforcare for their kindness.

Survivors include her children, William (Wendy), Terry, Ann, Joan (Joe) and Susan; grandchildren, John (Greta), Joe and Steven Sattler, Sara Heimer, Kari Kjorstad; great-grandchildren, Hailey Heimer, Maya and Jacob Kjorstad.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2008 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Joe Fogal officiating. There will be a 7 p.m. wake service on Sunday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 6-8 p.m. and also from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
