Byron W. Muntz, 87, Bonaparte, died at 4:30 p.m. sunday, April 21, 1991 at Van Buren County Hospital, Keosauqua. Mr. Muntz was born June 18, 1903 at Mt. Sterling. He had lived at Bonaparte for 43 years. He farmed and later worked at the Rollo White Store in Bonaparte.
On January 1, 1926 at Keosauqua, he married Clara Boll, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jack of Sunnyside, Washington and Gene of Riverdale, Illinois; two sisters, Arlene Millmeyer and Grace Troutman, both of Farmington; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and two sisters. His parents were Frederic and Leona House Muntz.
Services were held Tuesday, April 23, 1991 at Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington with Reverend Tim Snart officiating. Burial was in Bonaparte Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Farmington EMT unit. Contributions may be made at the funeral home.
