Wilma Ann Adams-Ellis, 67, of Perry, Iowa died Monday, February 12, 2024, at the UnityPoint Health - Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born December 30, 1956.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 16, 2024 at the First United Methodist Church, 1100 3rd Street, Perry, Iowa. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Clearmont, Missouri.
Wilma attended Southwestern Community College where she met her second husband, Charlie Ellis. After graduating with a degree in nursing, as a registered nurse, Wilma started her nursing career at Dallas County Hospital in Perry, Iowa. In August of 2000, she was hired at UnityPoint Health - Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa where she worked in the CCU for 15 years. She later moved to the call transfer center in December of 2015, where she worked until the time of her passing.
She is survived by her only son, Benjamin (Lisa) Adams; grandchildren, Cassandra Jane Adams and Nathaniel James Adams; brother, James "Jim" Bears; a sister and her loyal canine companion, Scooter.
Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" and Anna Bears; former husbands, Joseph David Adams and Charlie Ellis.
