Sandra (Sandy) L. Sohyda, 80, of Uniontown passed away on January 28, 2024.

Sandy was born July 21, 1943 to James Crawford and Phoebe Crawford in Uniontown PA.

She graduated from Uniontown High School in 1961. She was the Office Manager at Preferred Primary Care Physicians office for 35 years when she retired.

Sandy is preceded is death by husband of 56 years, Edward Sohyda, her parents, 2 brothers, Bill Crawford and Ronald Crawford, 8 half siblings, Sarah(Sally), Dick, Jean, Bob, Vivian, Mable, Wanda, and Fred Jr.

Surviving family includes son, David E. Sohyda(Kelly), daughter Jamie Mitchell(Jason), grandchildren Chelsea Sohyda, David R. Sohyda, Zachary Mitchell(Rachel), Eli Mitchell(Jalyn), Anna Mitchell, and great-granddaughter Elaine Mitchell, 2 sisters-in-law, Joanne Crawford and Sandy Coffman, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sandy attended Asbury United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School class and being part of the United Methodist Women.

Sandy also loved spending time with family and friends, attending her grandchildren's activities, reading and finding new restaurants to enjoy.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME HOPWOOD Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 2:00PM until 7:00PM and Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 10AM – 11AM the hour of service with Pastor Jason Lamer officiating.

The family would like to thank Monarch Meadow Personal Care Home and Amedisys Hospice for all the care, love and support they gave to both of our parents and our families.
