Barbara was tenth among the eleven children of Milton and Mary Freeman Lynn. She first married Henry Shepherd Foster III which produced no children and the marriage ended in divorce. She then married Mark Lewis Wilson and was later divorced. One child, Sarah Lynn Wilson Scolaro, was born of the marriage.
She passed on January 29, 2024. Her earthly remains were laid to rest with her parents, one brother, and one sister.
