Mary Ethel Clayton, 85, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on January 28, 2024. She was born on September 20, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN to James McGill and Maude (Barker) Adkins.

Mary was a graduate from Brownsburg High School. One of Mary's favorite places was Sanibel Island, where she enjoyed walking the beach and collecting shells. Mary liked to garden and loved her animals, especially her dog, Biscuit. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought so much joy to her life.

Mary is survived by one daughter; one son; one sister; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 1:00 Pm - 2:00 PM with a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Salem United Methodist Church, 6701 S. 775 E. Zionsville, IN. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery, located on the grounds of the church.
