Frank Dwayne Nageli
APRIL 27, 1937 – MARCH 18, 2021

Our much-loved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Frank D. (Pee Wee) Nageli, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at his home on March 18, 2021. We are broken hearted to say goodbye for now but know there were so many people waiting to greet him.

Frank was born in Salt Lake City, UT on April 27, 1937 to Jacobs and Stella Nageli. Where he was raised on a chicken farm and attended Granite High School. He had many fun times with his brothers, except for the day that Reed ran him to the church to inform their parents that he had cut Frank's finger off in a woodchipper and they might want to take him to the doctor.

Frank was a boilermaker (a damn good one) for the Boilermakers Union Local 182 for over 40 years.

Frank's greatest joys were spending time with his wife and his granddaughters; Hannah Banana and Stringbean as well as the rest of his family. Frank also had a special place in his heart for his grand-fur-babies, Max, Gabby, and Missy. He loved listening to Jazz music on the old 8 track tapes in his cherry red 69' Mustang.

One of Frank's favorite things to do was boating at Rockport Reservoir and Lake Powell. Some of our lasting memories will be the time that he almost sunk his precious boat at Lake Powell all the while telling Trudy "we will make it back to the marina" not realizing that the engine compartment was almost completely full with water, or the time that he woke up in the middle of the night to relieve himself from the back of the boat and ended up in the lake waking up the entire camp in the process and the time that he accidently bumped into his brothers' boat while trying to park the houseboat, after which he was presented with a captain's hat with the saying "Shit Happens".

Frank was a fun-loving man but also kind and generous and will be greatly missed.

He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 34 years, Trudy, who adored him 100% of the time. Daughters; Jackie Short (Larry), Robyn LeFevre-Dudley (Andrew) and Michelle Jeffs, brother, John (Pat), sister Sandra Golder (Mark), special sister-in-law, Pat Mitchell. Grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and special nieces.

Frank is survived by his estranged children; Cheryl, Tamra, Jeffrey, and Marci and their children, for whom he had always hoped to have a relationship with.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Reed; special sister-in-law, Linda; sisters, Geneal and Ann; grandson, Brian; and grand dog, Max, who will be waiting for his Pa to give him a goodie and a pat on the head.

The family will receive friends at a viewing to be held Wed. March 24, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home.

We would like to thank Dr. Roy Gandolfi and his nurse, Paula, for the care they have provided to Frank for the past 25+ years.

Special thanks to the team at Encompass Home Health and Hospice; Char, Heidi, Brianna, Valerie, Marie, Erica, Jen, Brandon, and Pinkie for the support and compassion given to our family at this difficult time.

Memorial donations in celebration of Frank's life may be made to S.N.A.R.R Animal Rescue Northeast https://snarrnortheast.org/donate/

Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles. I have only gone to rest for a while.
