Ada and Louis (Ed) married 28 Feb. 1900 in Ill. and a few years later came to Texas. She with the children by rail and he by horse with the milk cows from the dairy they had in Ill. John rode with his father to Texas. They ran their dairy until government regulations cost so much she had to shut it down.. Ada and Louis' children were Miriam Ada, John Albert, Clara Marie Short McVay, William Edward, Nellie Elsie Short Taylor (and others), Arthur Ernest, and Sarah Olive. My husband Louis Edward (Ed) Westfall was their grandson by way of their daughter Miriam.
