Husband of Mary Frye Trisler (1817-1887), here. Married Feb 19, 1837, Bracken Co., KY. Son of John Trisler (1789-1880) and Fanny Reed Trisler (about 1790-1825), who married in Jessamine Co., KY, then took young family to Clermont Co., Ohio by 1814 where Fanny died at time of birth of ninth child (family tradition says there were nine children but family records only show eight; a poem done by a cousin called ninth baby "little Dan".) Twelve children born to David and Mary: baby son (1837-1837), Ann E. (1839-?), John (1840-1858), James Herman (1842-1878, Reno Co., KS), Lorenzo D. (1843-1924), Clarissa (1845-1924), Joseph N. (1848-1907, Wilbarger Co., TX, tombstone gives birthdate as 1855 but census and family record shows 1848), Isabella (1850-1852), baby son (1852-1852), Stephen A. (1853-1924), Mary F. (1855-1940), David R. (1859-1864).
