N.B.: George is listed in records on Ancestry as both "George Carmen Sisco" and "George Thomas Cisco" - so maybe he had two middle names. If anyone can clarify this please submit an edit. Thanks.

George Thomas Carmen Sisco was the son of Southern Italian Calabresi immigrants Fortunato Sisco and Angelina Tosto, who emigrated to Chicago in 1908. He had three brothers, August Carmen Cisco, Joseph John Sisco, & Paul Carmen Sisco, and one sister, Mary Sisco Catrambone.

His mother died young in 1929, when he was just 8, leaving his father to raise 5 children - 4 boys and a girl - with modest means. To help out during this difficult time, two of the boys went to live with the paternal grandparents, Giuseppe "John" & Maria Sisco (née Lavorato) in Chicago.

He was a bricklayer by trade in the Chicago suburbs, and lived in the western suburban Chicago village of Broadview.

He was a WWII Army veteran.

His obit doesn't list an interment or inurnment location, but I'm assuming he's buried in Mount Carmel with his parents, Fortunato & Angelina, sister, Mary Sisco Catrambone, brother, August, and paternal grandparents, Giuseppe & Maria Sisco. In addition, this cemetery is only a few miles from his home in Broadview to this cemetery. If this is incorrect please submit an edit. Thanks in advance.

Rest in Peace...
