Horace Levern Allen 91 od Dyersburg died Wednesday January 24 at Oakwood Community Living Center in Dyersburg. Born Sunday May 1, 1932 in Eva, Tennessee. He was the son of James Frank Allen and Pairesett Cole Allen. Mr. Allen was a retired employee of Colonial Rubber Works of Dyersburg. Graveside services was held for Mr. Allen Friday January 26th at Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Pastor Dustin Pence officiated the service. He leaves to cherish his memory three sisters Gurlie Joslin of Dyersburg and Betty Carr of Dyersburg and Dorothy Powers of Florence, Alabama, three neices who cared for him Dianne Carlisle of Dyersburg, Brandy (Alan) Diaz of Dyersburg and a host of other family members who he loved dearly.in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Rachel Sawyer Allen, five brothers Grady Allen, Harold (Slim) Allen, James Limon Allen, Lozell Allen and Carnell Allen and one sister Bertha Mildred Barr. Honoring Mr. Allen as Pallbearers was Alex Diaz, Alan Gooch, Mike Coker, Danny Ellis, David Carr and Alan Lowrance.
