Grace Alford Tutor entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 16, 2024. Born to Luke Alford and Annie Medlin Alford on September 3, 1937, she was the youngest of nine children.

In addition to her parents, her husband of 54 years Bobby Ray Tutor, Sr. was there to meet her along with her two stepsons, Stephen and Joey Tutor, her siblings Gladys (Willard) Honeycutt, Leamon (Hester Pearl) Alford, Lois Honeycutt, Wilma (Braxton) Woodard, Buck "John" (Mary) Alford, Ed (Doris) Alford, Herman (Catherine) Alford and brothers-in-law, Harold Curtis and Joseph Hatcher.

Grace is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Larry Freeland, stepson, Bobby Tutor, Jr., sister, Ann Curtis Hatcher; sister-in-law Lois Alford, brother-in-law, Don (Sandy) Tutor; several nieces and nephews with a special nephew Glenn Alford and niece Ann Alford Eddins who accompanied her on many doctor's visits and eating out. She especially enjoyed her hotdogs from Aubrey's and seeing Peedie!

Grace grew up and lived in Wendell most of her life going to Wendell High School. After high school she worked at Woolworths in downtown Raleigh as a waitress as her first public job. Leaving there she worked at Mitchell's Photography and Ivey Taylor's starting as a salesclerk and lay away, eventually transferring to the accounting department. After Ivey's move to North Hills Mall, she decided to find work closer to home. She then went to work in a local factory making electrical components until her retirement in 2000.
