Janet Lee Jackson, 76, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on February 15, 1947, to Mose and Virginia (Jones) Sims in Roosevelt, Oklahoma. Janet grew up and attended school in Roosevelt, graduating from Roosevelt High School in 1965. She married her high school sweetheart, Randy Jackson, on August 28, 1965, at the Friends Church in the Con 8 community. To this union were born two children; Janice and Brannon. Janet worked for Kiowa County Department of Human Services for 30 years where she was highly respected among her co-workers. She later worked as a case manager and supervisor for Elkview Home Health in Hobart. Anyone who knew Janet loved her. She had a servant's heart for others and always went the extra mile to lend a helping hand. She was loving, kind, gracious, and an example of Christ. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hobart. Janet loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed helping Randy with farming and taking care of the cattle. Janet will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Janet loved and served her family and was friend to all.
