Gordon "Woody" A. Stobbs, 64, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away May 10, 2003, due to extended health complications.
Gordon was born on January 10, 1939, in Corpus Christi, Texas. After completing high school in Texas, Gordon joined the Air Force and was stationed near Frankfurt, Germany. Upon completion of his military service, he returned to West Texas, where he worked in a chemical plant, and later became a part owner of a service station. In 1990, Gordon left west Texas to pursue his true love, woodworking. He traveled the country, sharing his gift of craftsmanship, through craft shows and shopping mall demonstration. His prowess and reputation for exquisite and unique wood works earned him the nick name "Woody." In 1993, Woody began a new life in Pocatello, selling his custom wood works and working with Bullock Brothers Construction.

Woody touched the hearts of many people. The sadness of his passing is only outweighed by the joyful memories of his giving heart. Gordon was cremated with his ashes to be dropped over the South Fork of the Snake River.
