WESTMINSTER – Paul A. Friberg Sr., 78, of East Road, died Saturday in Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford.
He was the husband of Sieglinde (Epple) Friberg.
Born in Westminster, son of John A. and Wilhelmina (Kalliomaki) Friberg, he was a 1952 graduate of the Farmingdale Agricultural and Technical Institute of New York in Farmingdale, Long Island.
He lived in New Rochelle, NY., and was a plant operator for the Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities for many years, retiring in 1970. He returned to Westminster in 1980.
Friberg was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Paul A. Friberg Jr. and Mark E. Friberg, both of Westminster; four brothers, Eino Friberg of Cambridge, Frank F. Friberg and Arthur Friberg, both of Westminster, and Viljo Friberg of Garnder; two sisters, Katherine J. Friberg and Edith S. Rudziak, both of Westminster, and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services and interment will be private.
There are no calling hours.
The family requests that flowers be omitted.
