Robert Miller Dougal, 68, Altoona, passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Harry R. and Hilda M. (Barley) Dougal. He was united in marriage to the former Connie (Stiffler) Dougal.

Robert was a 1973 graduate of Altoona Area High School. After high school, he served in the U. S. Army from 1973 to 1976. He was employed as a pipefitter and welder for the Altoona Railroad for over thirty years until his retirement. He was a member of the Blair County Game, Fish and Forestry Association Inc., where he enjoyed shooting guns, especially his M1 Garands.

He was also especially proud of his Ford Mustang.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood with full military honors conducted by the Blair County Honor Guard.

If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Robert to the Blair County Game, Fish and Forestry Association, 301 Riggles Gap Sportsmen Road, Altoona, PA 16601.
